The approach.
Both the Feldenkrais Method® and the Anat Baniel Method® use gentle, guided movement to communicate with the brain. Rather than stretching or strengthening muscles in the traditional sense, we create conditions for the nervous system to learn.
the Feldenkrais Method®
Developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, the Feldenkrais Method® uses slow, exploratory movement to help people become aware of habitual patterns and discover easier, more efficient ways of moving, thinking, and feeling.
- Functional Integration® (one-to-one hands-on lessons)
- Awareness Through Movement® (verbal guided lessons)
- Emphasis on comfort, curiosity, and self-discovery
the Anat Baniel Method®
Building on the Feldenkrais Method® principles, the Anat Baniel Method® applies the science of neuroplasticity to help children and adults overcome limitations and reach new levels of physical, cognitive, and emotional performance.
- NeuroMovement® for children with special needs
- Transforming the lives of children with CP, autism, and genetic conditions
- Focus on the "Nine Essentials" of brain plasticity
What a session looks like
Conversation
We begin by talking about what brings you in, your history, and your hopes for the work.
Movement exploration
Through gentle touch or verbal guidance, we explore small, comfortable movements that wake up the brain's attention.
Integration
We pause often so the nervous system can process and integrate new information.
